Yes, you read that right!  This week's #FutureFriday comes with the announcement that in September I will be joining the spin god Tim Weeks and a very cool team of indoor cyclists, grabbing my tent (eek, never been camping before) and heading to the Isle of Wight to teach spin classes at the music festival "Bestival"!  I know, crazy, right?  I reckon it will be up there with, if not surpassing Comic Relief as one of the coolest things I've ever done!  I'm so psyched about it.  I don't have all of the details just yet, but let me tell you what I know so far....

The line up in clues Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Duran Duran, The Jacksons, Annie Mac... and ME!

The founders of Bestival, Rob Da Bank and his wife Josie decided this year to introduce the Slow Motion area: a fitness festival within a festival.  Rob says...

"Basically the idea came from me and Josie (my wife) getting older! But seriously, from seeing the way younger people seem to be looking after themselves better – at least a lot of the ones who come to Bestival! When i was a teenager, no one would have done yoga, spinning or meditate, but now it's part of a lot of people's lives. We wanted there to be an area you could escape to and just zone out for a few hours – or a day or two. It's going to be a big area, and not just a gesture – it's a whole festival within a festival!"

I will be teaching spinning for Revolution Ride which is the brain child of Tim Weeks who has hand picked his team based on being awesome but also because we 'get it'!  Fitness at a festival is a new concept and he needed people who would fit in, get it and get on with it... and I'm honoured!

Have a read of Lulu LeVay's interview with the founder of Bestival, Rob Da Bank, where he talks about Slow Motion and gives me some good advice.

Just look at this line-up......

Oh my goodness, I've only just seen the line up... and this is a mere fraction of the acts and activities scheduled! Here is the rest of the line up
